The Whiteman Officers' Spouses' Club is a non-profit organization whose mission is to organize and sponsor educational, charitable, and social activities. The goal is to provide information of interest to the members and to foster the ideals of charity and fellowship.

The Whiteman OSC invites you to come out to Stars & Strikes Bowling Alley for some bowling fun.
When: Thursday, May 14th
Where: Star & Strikes Bowling Alley, WAFB
Time: 6 p.m.
Price for the evening: $4 - two bowling games with shoe rental
$3 - two bowling games without shoe rental (for those professionals who own shoes!)
The snack bar will be open for business, so you are welcome to order a meal there and eat while you bowl.

If you renew your membership or become a new member for the 2009-2010 OSC Year at the social, your name will be entered into a special drawing. You can pay your dues in full or you can pay half. If you choose to pay half, your balance will be due in December 2009. Dues for the 2009-2010 OSC Year are $60.

As many of us know, there are many functions to attend throughout the year that require formal attire for our spouses. Functions such as ALS graduation, quarterly and yearly awards, induction ceremonies and of course the Air Force Ball. We encourage our young troops and their spouses to attend but fail to realize that many of them are unable due to costs of tickets and formal attire.
The Cinderella Project was started in 2006 (Seymour Johnson AFB) collecting formal gowns for spouses who were unable to afford one. These gowns were made available to any spouse who needed one, free of charge. They simply walked in, pick one out, and took it home with them. It was theirs to keep, or if they chose, they could have it cleaned and brought back for someone else.
The Cinderella Project is alive and well here at Whiteman AFB. It is a wonderful project, the smiles, tears of happiness and endless thank you’s tell a story in itself.
If you have any formal gowns, shoes, accessories that you would like to donate to a wonderful project it would be greatly appreciated. You can bring them to the Airman's Attic during business hours.
