Welcome to the Anniston Avenue Elementary PTA page. It is the goal of the Anniston Avenue PTA to keep the parents, teachers, and school community informed on any and all upcoming events. Everything from fundraisers to fieldtrips, spelling bees to science fairs, if it's happening at Anniston we want you to know.

The Anniston Avenue Elementary PTA would also like to welcome all students and their families to the 2009-2010 school year. The AAE PTA is very proud of our parents' show of support for our students, teachers and school activities/events. With this outstanding show of support, we have been able to accomplish a lot due to the strong bond between parents, students, teachers, principals and the PTA.

Last year, the PTA was able to purchase Weekly Readers and add “fun learning technology” to the classrooms for the students’ use as well with the purchase of IPOD on books and Leap Pad Leapsters. Prior to summer vacation and during the summer, additional plants and landscaping materials were added to school grounds; carpeting was installed on the stage; scanners and computer cabinets were added to the classrooms; and, window and table coverings have brightened things up a bit.

In recent years, we have been able to purchase accessories for the computer lab; a rock climbing wall for the gym; and, the Anniston Elementary sign in front of the school. It is on this sign that you’ll find posted the latest news and what’s happening at Anniston. So, keep a lookout for upcoming events!

The Anniston PTA continues to increase student incentive awards with Student of the Week, Pizza with the Principals, and Perfect Attendance. In addition, the PTA coordinates several in-school events...Open House; In-School Trick-or-Treating; Spring Fest; Christmas/Valentine's Parties; Mugs-N-Muffins; and, Teacher Appreciation as well as numerous other events.
