COMMUNITY SERVICE Bay High Football participates in Christmas in April The Bay High Tiger Football team participated in Christmas in April community service project. The players and coaches were broken up into groups and given designated houses. The jobs included: cleaning up yards, painting, laying shingles on roofs, etc. Although the weather was messy, some groups went back later and completed the project. Coach, said “It is important for us to give back to this community. We are trying to instill a sense of pride and responsibility in our players for themselves, their family, school, and town and hopefully make them better people and leaders for tomorrow”. Brenan Compretta, Head Coach, said “Football is just part of what we’re trying to teach these guys. As coaches, it is also our job to teach our players how to be productive citizens after high school. Helping others in the community is one aspect of that. We have some quality young men at Bay High and I am proud of them for their commitment to this project.” |
