Betty shows some of her "archives"

A beautiful architectural rendering of the Markham Building

"THE ACCIDENTAL ARCHIVIST" - Program by Betty Shaw, Feb. 26, 2009

In Quota, we're often surprised at the "secret lives" of our members! Such it was, when Betty Shaw shared her collection of photos, drawings and memorabilia from her husband's family business, that she has spent many hours archiving for future generations. We all enjoyed seeing the wonderfully designed buildings that unfortunately, have been lost to age or storms. Thanks Betty! Good luck with your future endeavors in this project!

The 1st Annual Service Awards and Appreciation banquet was held Sunday, June 14th at St. Mark's Church. We presented our Community Champion as well as our Scholarship Recipients, and Appreciation Awards to the many people and businesses that have helped us last year. We also announced our outstanding Youth of the Year from the 8 deserving YES nominees. Congratulations Holley Cunningham of Resurrection Catholic High School! Take a minute to read their inspiring stories by clicking on the link located on the quotams.com home page.

COMMUNITY-WIDE BABY SHOWER FOR THE GULF COAST WOMEN'S CENTER, MAY 9TH FROM 9AM TO 3PM IN FRONT OF KMART, PASS RD. GULFPORT. Thanks to everyone who participated! We collected a truckload of baby items and $500 for the WRC! We hope to make this an annual event.

WALK FOR LIFE, APRIL 24TH AT BAYOU VIEW PARK, GULFPORT. Thanks to Patty, Doris, Tamara, Bryce, Mike, Melonie (Vicki's Mom) and Vicki for helping with registration and water stations! See the photos by visiting the home page for the link.

Want to wish you all the best at your QI, MS Gulf Coast chartering event. Great email!!
Hope to see some of you at the South Area Meeting in Aruba.
Best wishes,
Rose Ann Bradley, Immed. Past President Quota Int’l of East Memphis, TN

Thank you so much for including me on this! I really wish I could attend but I would need to know in advance more than this. That isn't your fault, it's mine. Man, I really miss my Quotarian Buddies. Frances, you rock! I love Darlene and we have tried to stay in touch but mainly it's my fault! I have so many close Quotarian friends and have truely missed everyone. I promise to make a meeting if someone lets me know months in advance and we can have a real 'get down' meeting! I would absolutely love that. However, I have a better idea. How about a Quota at the Beach Gathering here on the Emerald Coast?! Can't beat the view and the sand! Lots of great condos that I think I can arrange for a fair price in say, The Fall, the most beautiful time of all! Oh, my goodness, I am getting goose bumps thinking of my fellow Quotarians! Miss you all. Let's try and get you over here for a 'retreat' AKA TREAT!
I know, most of you don't know me but I was a really faithful member before I was forced to move via future ex-husband. Take care and let me know!
Jackie

Best of luck with your 33rd anniversary party! I know it will be wonderful.

Executive Director, Quota International
