It's already winter?

Our next Blanket Bee will be Saturday, October 10 at the Moose Lodge Bingo Room in Black Eagle. Bring your sewing machine and supplies! I have a lot of donated fabric to use.

We will routinely be meeting at the Moose Lodge in Black Eagle on the second Saturday of the month.

We will have another blanket day in Helena probably in January at The Sewing Palace Bernina.

I've started a Project Linus Mystery Quilt!! This is a fairly simple quilt... only 5 steps. I've sent out the first 4 steps and have posted it to this page as well (see the link to the left!) I'll post step 5 in the next week or two.

We still have our drop-off sites as well! If you have a blanket to donate, remember that Big Sky Quilts in Great Falls and The Sewing Palace in Helena are year-round drop off sites!

The coordinator's conference was a great trip, and I learned some fun, simple patterns. I'll be sharing some of these ideas at our blanket days.

We're back into quilting weather! Have fun!!! =}

Fund Raising!!

The Great Falls Chapter of Project Linus again participated in the Herberger's Community Day Sale for a fund-raiser with great success! Many thanks to Herberger's for providing this opportunity. The next Community Day sale is set for November 14, 2009 and we will again sell coupon books. I expect it will be similar to past sales... one of the coupons is worth $10 off almost any item $10 or more (there are always exceptions :-) ) with other 10% - 20% off coupons... discount amount depends on what you buy. Project Linus gets to keep the entire $5 to support the chapter. Please contact me at GreatFalls.MT@projectlinus.org if you would like to buy a coupon book or if you would like to sell a few.

Read the latest Project Linus National Headquarters quarterly newsletter... The Blanket Beacon!

Drop-off Sites!
We have two sites where you can drop off blankets! When you take it in, just tell them the blanket is for Project Linus. Be sure to pin a note to it with your name and address.

Great Falls - Big Sky Quilts - 101 Central Avenue
Helena - The Sewing Palace Bernina - 1103 Helena Avenue

Thanks, Joyce and Jenny for all your help!
