Mission Statement of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International

Our Purposes, the purposes of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International shall be:

• To unite women educators of the world in a genuine spiritual fellowship.

• To honor women who have given or who evidence a potential for distinctive service in any field of education.

• To advance the professional interest and position of women in education.

• To sponsor and support desirable educational legislation and initiate legislation in the interests of women educators.

• To endow scholarships to aid outstanding women educators in pursuing graduate study and to grant fellowships to nonmember women educators.

• To stimulate the personal and professional growth of members and to encourage their participation in appropriate programs of action.

• To inform the membership of current economic, social, political, and educational issues to the end that they may become intellingent, functioning members of a world society.

• October 31st, 2011. Wreath orders are due.

• November 19th, 2011
  • Chapter Meeting - just a quick reminder that we will need to pick up our wreaths.
