If your son is a Bear scout or Webelos 1 scout then they are able to attend summer camp.
It will be from July 12th thru July 16th.

The cost for camp is $140.00. A deposit of $70.00 is due to the pack by April 20th, 2009. A $15.00 fee to pay for their mosquito netting is also due at April 20th, as well.
So total deposit with netting is $85.00
Please see Mike Baker to pay your fees.

The Pinewood Derby hot dog sale proceeds of $403.00 will go toward the boys camp fees that helped out at the sale. Our bake sale at the chili cook off earned another $97.00. We will also be having a cake/bake auction at the pack advancement ceremony in June to help with the cost of camp as well.

Thanks to all who bought cakes, we will not need any additional funds from campers towards camp fees.

The guide below has all the information for camp like what to bring, time schedules, etc. It also has the forms that you need such as medical forms for their physical examination, etc.

Pack 513 Wants You

If you want your son to have some fun, excitement, outdoor opportunities, and a chance to participate in a program in which he doesn't always have to win—instead,
• He learns about "Do your best" and how to be helpful to others—then we have just the program for you!

Each Cub Scout learns to respect his home, country, and other people. The program also helps boys this age to:

• Learn new physical skills through sports, crafts, and games.
• Learn how to get along with others through group activities.
• Develop new mental skills such as writing and calculating.
• Develop personal independence.
• Learn to make values-based decisions that assist them throughout their adult life.

If your son is in 1rst grade thru 5th grade, Pack 513 invites you and your son to become part of one of America’s leading values-driven organizations. The Cub Scout program is a valuable resource that can help families accomplish worthy goals while building and strengthening relationships within the family.

Don’t forget every Cub Scout year includes other fun things like: Pinewood Derby Races, Picnic Swim Party, Overnight camping, fishing, Hiking, field trips, etc.

For more information about how your son can join. Contact:

Den Meeting schedule

We have a den meeting the first three Monday nights of the month at 7:00 p.m at Flag Springs UMC Church. Exception to the rule is no school, no scouts. We get together in seperate rooms by den. The scouts do various arts and crafts, they work on their acheivements and electives to receive their badges and awards. They usually go on one field trip a month as well. Remember no school, no scouts.

  Pack Meeting Schedule

We have a pack meeting the last Monday of every month. This is a time when we gather as a group with our scouts and their families. The scouts perform skits, show off their projects they have completed during the month, and receive the awards they have earned during the month. We even have a dinner with everyone.

Join Cub Scouting.org

The Scout Zone
This site provides information about the Boy Scout program to prospective members.

Cub Scout Games Online
This Site has games that you can play online that are created thru the Boy Scouts Of America.

Each year we have a transition of leaders out of the pack and onto Boy Scouts, as they move up with their sons. That leaves the cub scouts having roles to fill. I would like to ask all parents to be thinking of where you can volunteer to help your son and his friends.

To allow them to enjoy there time at scouts and to help build their character as they progress thru their various stages in scouting. It is our goal to build stronger relationships within our families and to have a better tomorrow thru the boys that we help to reach manhood.

We should be asking ourselves, where can I make a difference.

By Mike Baker,
Cubmaster 2007-2009
