Bachelors and Masters Program Bachelor of Music is a professional qualification requiring 185 quarter credits. This degree prepares the student for a professional career in performing, compostion, conducting, or teaching. Additionally it will prepare the student for advanced study in music. This course requires the student to take general education courses, music core, major core, recitals, a research project and two residency sessions. The Masters program requires 36 semester hours of credit. There is flexibility in this program because there are no limitations on a major (with in the scope of expertise of our faculty). Current available majors are performance and pedagogy, church music, conducting, and composition and theory. Some life experience credit, transfer credit, and challenge exam credits will be accepted. The Bachelor and Masters program in Church Music are both professional degrees designed especially for people who work in music ministry. The same requirements apply to these programs as well. |
Musical Arts Diploma and Certificate program The Musical Arts Diploma is similar to the Bachelor of Music course. More concentration in Music is required and there are no general education requirements. The diploma however requires a broad knowledge outside of the major intended and requires a final research project.
