Volunteer Application

Elizabeth City Habitat for Humanity (ECHFH)needs volunteers and support from our community.
The following are some areas where you may feel that you are able to contribute.
There are seven basic committees with ECHFH plus a Board of Directors.
If you would like to participate in our organization's activities, please mark an "x"
beside the committee you prefer.

______ Building/Construction-Supervises the actual construction of Habitat homes.
We need people with construction skills and/or the ability to supervise unskilled volunteer labor.

_____ Family Nurture-Supports our Habitat homeowners by assisting them to learn the skills they
will need to take care of their new home(i.e., budget planning and simple repairs).

_____ Family Selection-Receives applications from individuals interested in becoming a Habitat
homeowner, reviews the application and makes recommendations to the Board for new homeowners

_____ Fund Raising- Conducts-fund-raising activities to support the mission of ECHFH.

_____ Publicity-Contacts media to publicize the activities of the organization.

_____ Site Selection-Identifies and recommends property to the Board for future homes.

_____Volunteers-Participate in the actual construction of the Habitat home.
Also includes individuals who prepare food for workers.

_____ Board of Directors-Meet monthly to coordinate the activities of the various committees.
Board members serve on one of the seven committees, Officers of the Board include:
President, Co-President, Secretary, Co-Treasurer, Treasurer.
