MEET THE K-9s AND THEIR HANDLERS

During 2009 the k-9 unit was responsible for the following: 98 Searches/Tracking/Trails 12 Apprehensions 5 Recovered Guns 873 Grams of Marijuana Seized 57 Grams of Cocaine Seized further illustrating its effectiveness in checking criminal activity.
The Elizabeth City Police Department has a permanent K9 substation on South Road Street opposite the Hugh Cale Resource Center.
