Thank You We would like to Thank all those that supported either by donation or effort our December 3rd Craft Fair. We enjoyed having all that visited our little church. The Christian Women's Fellowship were really blessed. The Christian Men's Fellowship also enjoyed serving all of those that ordered breakfast biscuits, as well as hot dogs and chili. See you next year.

First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) would like to INVITE YOU to join us. Ours is a Loving Group of people that make up the Church. We WELCOME ALL who come or return to learn of the Lord and in so doing gain salvation. Our Church Family attempts to thwart the nature of humanity and walk in a Christ-like manner. This is a difficult task and the only way we can do it is through our various interactions, supporting each other, in an effort to follow the Lord’s teachings. Reaching out to those in need both inside and outside our congregations are the best way we can act upon the teachings of the Lord.

The Bible in the book of Luke chapter 15 abounds with Jesus’ parables portraying how the lost should be found and restored to the kingdom of God. All of them speak to the happiness of the Lord upon the return of those that have turned from Him. In the Bible book of James chapter 5 verses 19 through 20 it says: “19My brothers and sisters, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and is brought back by another, 20you should know that whoever brings back a sinner from wandering will save the sinner’s soul from death, and will cover a multitude of sins.” Also in the book of Galatians chapter 6 verses 1 and 2 it reads: “1My friends, if anyone is detected in a transgression, you who have received the Spirit should restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness. Take care that you yourselves are not tempted. 2Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

It is our mission to welcome all that desire to know God. All who wish to work together in following Jesus’ example of Love. All are welcome who need a loving friend to confide in, and journey with, for the kingdom of God. Our prayers are placed upon the alter of God for all mankind’s benefit, yours, and ours. Please come join with us in our walk with Jesus.

AFFIRMATION OF FAITH

Preamble to the Design of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

As members of the Christian Church, We confess that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and by His grace we accept our mission of witness and service to all people. We rejoice in God, maker of heaven and earth, and in the covenant of love which binds us to God and one another. Through baptism into Christ we enter into newness of life and are made one with the whole people of God. In communion of the Holy Spirit we are joined together in discipleship and in obedience to Christ. At the table of the Lord we celebrate with thanksgiving the saving acts and presence of Christ. Within the universal church we receive the gift of ministry and the light of scripture. In the bonds of Christian faith we yield ourselves to God that we may serve the One whose kingdom has no end. Blessing glory and honor be to God forever. Amen.
