Scout Hunt-N-Fish Day Photo Bucket
Boy Scout Troop 513 hosts a annual event that takes companies and volunteer sportsman and puts them together where they share there love and experiences of the great outdoors with our area youth.
It is a day long event, one with 100 Boy Scouts and the other with 300 Cub Scouts, each rotating a station every 45 minutes, usually comprising of 6 to 7 different stations each.
They then gather at the end of the day to receive door prizes such as BB guns, Rod/Reel Combos, tackle boxes, hunting blinds, bow and arrow sets, etc.
It is held at Camp Woodfield Presevation, a 500 acre preserve, about 6 miles out of Asheboro, North Carolina on route 64.
It is our goal to educate, through hands on experiences, to teach them how to enjoy the great outdoors in a safe manner,
that can bond together families,
maybe even create traditions that may last for generations.
Some of these youth would not otherwise get to experience hunting and fishing, if it were not for this event.
If you are interested and sharing your knowledge and love of the great outdoors, then contact us below to help run a station for the event.
If your company would like to donate supplies, materials, etc.
Please contact me below so I can have you added to our sponsor area on the sign up flyers for the event.
Together we can make a difference in our youth, it is our responsibility, they are our future.
We are currently re-setting up the website for the May 8th, 2010 event.
See us back here for event information, schedules, signup forms, maps. etc.
Thanks
