Venture Crew 513 hosts a annual event that takes companies and volunteer sportsman and puts them together where they share there love and experiences of the great outdoors with our area youth.
It is a day long event, for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Venture Crews. This year we will have a carnival style event where everyone is free to visit each station at any time.
The youth wil be having lunch on their own
They then gather at the end of the day to receive door prizes such as BB guns, Rod/Reel Combos, tackle boxes, hunting blinds, bow and arrow sets, etc.
It is held at Camp Woodfield Presevation, an 800 acre preserve, about 6 miles out of Asheboro, North Carolina on route 64.

It is our goal to educate, through hands on experiences, to teach them how to enjoy the great outdoors in a safe manner,
that can bond together families,
maybe even create traditions that may last for generations.
Some of these youth would not otherwise get to experience hunting and fishing, if it were not for this event.

I want to thank all of the 80 to 100 volunteers, many different organizations and groups
that make it possible for this day to take place for our youth.
It is very important that we all realize that we must continue to have events like this one;
it is our responsibility to educate our youth, they are our future.

Scout Hunt-N-Fish Day 2012
Check in at Cub World parking lot at 8:00am -9:00am.
Lunch is on your own 12:00-1:00pm
Door Prize drawing in dinning hall at 4:00pm
This years event will be a carnival or fair style. You will be able to visit stations at any time of the day. There will be 3 types of stations. Stations for Cub Scouts only, marked with the cub scout emblem, stations for Boy Scouts and Venture, will be marked with the boy scout emblem and then dual stations for all scouts will be marked with both emblems.
