PASTOR (ELDER) ALLEN E. DAVIS: THE MAN WITH A HEARTBEAT FOR GOD
Pastor Allen E. Davis was born in Charleston, West Virginia. He accepted Jesus Christ into his heart and life and was baptized in both water and with the Holy Ghost at the age of sixteen (16). Pastor Davis, a graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelors Degree in Finance, is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc, and is currently pursuing his MBA at the University of Pheonix. He was influenced in the ways of Holiness and in the Gospel of Jesus Christ by his mentors and former pastors (Bishop T. D. Jakes and Overseer Rocine Jackson).
At the age of 20, he began preaching under the pastorate of Overseer Jackson with the initial sermon “Do You Know The Man?” Pastor Davis is a part of the legacy of preachers, musicians, and singers that stems from both of his families.
During his ministry career, he has been active in both the pastorate and evangelism field by preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ all over the United States, crossing denominational and racial barriers. In 1998, he founded the “EarthShakers Conference” - a conference which assists in preparing today’s youth and the Body of Christ to fulfill their purpose and destiny by establishing a unique relationship with Christ and how to usher in the presence of the anointing through praise and worship which had its origin taken from Acts 17:6 “And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, these that have turned the world upside down are come hither also.”
In 1999, he heeded the call of God to the pastorate office and today serves as the Senior Pastor and Founder of True Praise & Worship International Ministries (John 4:23-24), an independent and growing multi-ethnic congregation that is sensitive to the move of the Spirit of God, manifested in the powerful, anointed, and effective worship services. This God-centered, unique ministry, being birthed in Charleston, WV, relocated by the auspices of God to Raleigh, NC in 2002. It is by this divine unction, the God has chosen to catapult this ministry into the next dimension of power and glory. For this reason and calling, True Praise & Worship International Ministries (TPW) has been strategically located as a beacon of light and hope with the ministry axiom, “An Effective Church, Serving An Effective God, Whom Will Affect Your Life In A Very Real and Positive Way!”
One central focus of Pastor Davis’ ministry revolves around the unique challenges and needs of today’s generation by providing them with the powerful words of support and exhortation in saying:
“Time and again we tell this generation what they can and cannot do. It’s time that we start telling them what they can do and become, not only in the present and future lives, but most importantly, in Jesus Christ. Regardless of their past mistakes, misfortunes, and failures, they are much more than what they are now. They can live their lives full of purpose and destiny. They can find trustworthy friendships and relationships. They can remove themselves from the pain and disappointment of their past, for the past doesn’t dictate your future. They can be free from sin and self. There is hope for their future and as the True Church of Jesus Christ, we have an answer for them -- it is all inclusive in JESUS CHRIST!”
