GOURD PATCH QUILT

THE GOURD ARTISTS GUILD

present

THE WORLD'S FIRST GOURD QUILT

Through John Stacy's Patch Pal e-mail list, "The Gourd Artist’s Guild"

One hundred and twelve Gourd artists from three countries; United States, Australia, and Canada have united to create the WORLD'S FIRST GOURDPATCH QUILT. Each of the artists applied their particular artistic style to a flat 4"x4" gourd tile. Lynette Dawson and daughter, Margaret Schroeder, have stitched it together, framing the beautiful artwork with their design. These gourd artists with their use of numerous art mediums are showing the world that a gourd is the perfect canvas.

Almost everything can be done on a gourd!

No other project has been done of this kind. It's gourd history in the making!

There are 8 artists from North Carolina featured on the quilt.

Judi Fleming, Debra Toth, Doris Trombley, Claire Groff, Michele Hoffman, Darlene Whitetree, Tammy Brown, and Virginia Saunders.
