In this class, your partner will learn the in's and out's of labor support taught by a trained and experienced doula!

We all want our partners to be there 100% for us and they want to be there too, but they might not know the skills and things to say to you during your labor.

The "Labor Preparation for Partners" class is more extensive than the techniques you learn in your childbirth education class and designed as an addition to your childbirth education class. This class will help teach your partner how to help you; with you both looking back on your birth with loving memories of the bond you shared.

Couple in Class Together

"Labor Preparation for Partners" class meets for two, 2-hour sessions with both the partner and woman attending.

The best time to start the class is around the 8th month of pregnancy, preferably after you have completed a childbirth education class.

Topics Covered:
-Choices in childbirth & Birth plans
-Optimal fetal positioning
-Tools to provide A+ labor support
-Comfort measures and techniques
-Positions to help facilitate labor
-Advocacy & How to effectively communicate with care providers

Fees

Private In-Home class: $40/couple

Group class: $20/couple

Fee to be paid at the start of the first session. We accept cash, check, or money order.

Space in the group class is limited and fills quickly.
