Central Nebraska Legal Professionals

Mission Statement

To Establish good fellowship among the members of this association and all persons employed in and/or interested in work of a legal nature so that ideas may be exchanged and knowledge increased;

To establish a high order of business and professional attainment and to further our knowledge of the law and uphold its honor and dignity; and

To create a high standard of ethics among its members

A LITTLE HISTORY
The Nebraska Legal Professionals Association was established in 1997. It is now comprised of the State organization and four chapters:Western Nebraska, Central Nebraska, Lincoln, and Omaha.

Members are legal secretaries, law office administrators, legal assistants, paralegals, office managers, stenographers, typists and clerks. They work in law offices, corporations, government offices, law enforcement, banks, trust companies, financial services companies, real estate offices, abstract and title companies.

WHO SHOULD JOIN? Anyone interested in the law or anyone working in or interested in working in a legal environment will benefit from membership in this professional association.

We enjoy interesting and educational speakers during our monthly meetings. Please come as our guest. If you are interested in attending any of our meetings just send an email listed at the bottom of this page with a phone number and one of our members will be happy to respond.

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP
CONTINUING EDUCATION -

Monthly meetings offer a speaker willing to share their knowledge of what they do. Credits may be obtained by attending seminars.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT -

A State Annual Scholarship is presented to students studying law-related subjects. Each local chapter has their own scholarship requirements. Local chapters participate in various Law Day events.

COMMUNITY SERVICE -

Members participate in various community service projects.

Nebraska Legal Professionals Annual Meeting and Seminar

May 4, 5 and 6th in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Registrations due by April 23, 2012. Business Casual.

Monthly Membership Meeting News

What a GREAT turnout for the membership drive! Thank yous to Merry Johnson for all of her extreme efforts and also to our Karen Niedfelt for the beautiful room and making sure all of our needs were met. We have some fabulous women in our group. Welcome to our new members!!!
