| About Us
So what type of needlework do you enjoy? Cross-stitch, needlepoint (canvas work), Hardanger, surface embroidery (such as Crewel), Swedish Weaving, Ribbon Embroidery, Stumpwork, Temari, and Blackwork are some of the types of needlework you might find one of our members working on. We have members who love only to cross-stitch and those who dabble in a little of everything. So you will fit right in no matter what type of needlework you love to do. Lincoln Needleworkers' Guild (LNG) provides many excellent opportunities to learn more about the needle arts. All skill levels are represented in the Guild. Programs, workshops, educational materials, and the willingness of Guild members to share their knowledge, all help to promote an appreciation of needlework. Fun, Festivities, and Friendship play an important role in the LNG. Monthly meetings, stitch-ins, Correspondence courses, a ornament exchange, community service projects, an annual retreat with other guilds, and a needle arts show are just a few of our activities. LNG was organized in 1980 and is an affiliate chapter of The Embroiderers' Guild of America, Inc . LNG is open to anyone with an interest in the needle arts - all levels are welcome. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Meetings Meetings are held the 3rd Monday of the Month. We have both an afternoon and evening meeting that day. Meetings included a program which maybe a project, speaker, or other educational program. Participation in the meeting project is optional so feel free to bring a stitching project. Meetings are also a good time to get advice from other members about projects you might be having problems with. The afternoon meeting is held at Jane Nelson's shop, Valhalla Bee Farm Honey, Lace and More , 4713 Hartley, Suite 2 from 1:00 P.M. to 3 P.M. The shop is behind-to the west-of the bread store on 48th. Hartley Street is one block to the south of Fremont. The evening meeting is from 7 pm to 9pm. This is held at Tabitha (48th & J) in the Johnson Conference Room in the basment. We love to have guests so please stop by and see what our meetings are all about. If you have a current stitching project please bring it along with you. |
Stitch-Ins We have two stitch-ins a month. Stitch-ins are a chance to work on any project you like while doing a little socializing. They also provide a chance to get help from other members with problems you might be having with a project. On the 2nd Monday of each month a stitch-in is held at Valhalla Bee Farm Honey, Lace and More , 4713 Hartley, Suite 2. It runs from 6pm to 8pm. Come join us for a fun evening of stitching and chatting! We also hold an all day (9am - 4pm) stitch-in on the Saturday following the Monday meeting at Ameritas. You can come for any part of the day you want. Bring a lunch if you want or join others in going out to eat. If you haven't been before contact Pam to get your name on the list.
