December - Holiday Party - more details later
January - Making scissor fob table favors for the Mini-Seminar i April
September - Finishing items for the show boutique
February - Sampler Part II
March - Finish scissor fobs for the Mini-Seminar

October - Part 1 of 4 for How does your garden grow Sampler

We will be starting a year long project. The design may be stitched on any even weave fabric. The design size is 77 (wide) x 231 (high) stitches. Finished stitch size would be: 14/28 count - 5.5" wide by 16.5" high 6/32 count - 4.8" wide by 14.5" high Add 8" to above measurements (or your measurements when using larger or smaller count) to allow for framing.

There are 3 versions of the chart - two are worked entirely in cross stitch - one using 2 colors the other using 6 colors. Both these versions are suitable for Aida or any other even weave fabric. The third version is worked in cross stitch and specialty stitches and is not suitable for Aida. This version is worked in six colors of your choice or I am trying it in just 2 colors. You will need 1 skein of each color.

When working with 6 colors, you will need 2 greens, 4 floral colors and one color of beads to compliment your chosen threads. Remember to think of using overdyed threads. Visit Jane's shop for a great selection of threads and fabrics.

I will provide copies of the charts. Please let Pam know which of the 3 you are interested in. The specialty charts will cost $2.50, the cross stitch charts will be $1.25.

November project - Finishing of Ort box

For this month, Pam will have ultrasuede and other fabrics available for backing your Ort Box and will show how to put the box together. Pam will also provide help with the hardanger ornament from July. Also bring any other guild project that you need to finish. Let Pam know what color you would like and she will try to have something in that range.

Group Correspondence Course

There is no Group Correspondence project going on currently. Check out the National EGA website for available correspondence courses (both group and individual).

April 2009 Workshop

The Lincoln Needleworkers Guild held a two day workshop in April of 2009. It was a canvas embroidery threadscape called Wildflower Meadow by Lois Kershner (see picture on left).

Not sure when the next workshop will be held but all of us who attended had a great time and are looking to having another one (well at least I am).
