Hello fellow stitchers:

Well I just about have all the items I am taking to the show gathered up. I will be visiting my kids in Colorado next weekend so I am pulling two pieces out of the show that I promised to them. It’s just much easier to transport than to mail them later.

Jane H. arranged an interview for us at Pam’s home. Jane, Pam, Nan and I talked about the show mainly, but also about our group and its beginnings, our EGA affiliation, and community activities. The article should appear in the Neighborhood Extra, but I am not sure when.

I think I have everything finished for the boutique as well. That was great fun, and I welcomed the practice. Now I need to clean up the sewing room and put all the finishing parts away for a while.

Everyone has worked so hard to get this show off the ground. I wish us great success, as that energizes the whole group to want to do it again.

Nan, Pam and I are scheduled to attend the Germanfest celebration at the Landing the first weekend in October. I think that will be fun, and we will be making contact with another group interested in our work.

Close on the heels of the show is our fall retreat in Gretna. October is jam packed with fun events isn’t it? I sure hope we have more of this great weather for that weekend as that camp is a lovely place to get outside. I brought home a pod of sycamore seeds last fall and planted them all over our windbreak area. None of them came up, however, so we still just have cedars out there.

Guess that’s all for now. Enjoy your stitching opportunities.
