LNG along with the Omaha, Souix City, Hastings, and Beatrice guilds has a retreat every year during the 3rd weekend in March (The dates for 2006 are March 16th through the 19th). It is held at the Eastern Nebraska 4-H Center near Gretna.

The fun starts on Thursday morning and ends Sunday at noon. Thursday and Friday are days for relaxing, getting setup, hooking up with old friends, and meeting new people. There is a Make and Take class Thursday night and a brown bag goodie exchange after dinner Friday night. Saturday night after dinner is Merchandise night, and of course the group pictures are taken on Saturday.

If you are in the mood for learning take one of the Saturday workshops or Sunday mini-classes. Check out the class information for more details on this year's classes. Please Note that there is a change to the schedule: the Swedish Tvistsom class is in the morning while the color class will be in the afternoon. Every year I'm torn between stitching all day Saturday or taking a class. This year there are several half-day classes so you can do both!

They will be serving meals starting at noon on Thursday again this year. Check out this year's menu.

Get a jump on having the cabinmates you want by pre-registering for the cabin of your choice. With all of the cabins in use this year nobody will have to worry about getting stuck on a top bunk.

Registration deadline is February 20th, 2006. So be sure to have your registration forms in before then. There is an additional $5 late fee for registration forms received after the 20th.
