 ABOUT ME

My name is Savannah; I am another lover of music.
You were probably at first thinking I was a person who was fond of music such as singing.
Though there are certain singers whom I like alot, I am more of a instrumental music lover.
I own several instruments, my forte is the piano, though I do play the Violin at times.
I have written nine of my own songs on the piano. On the average count, I can play a little over fifty songs on the piano. As for the violin, I have the average of six songs due to less experience with that instrument.
I play my instruments by ear, and tableture;I have played the Piano for several years, and the Violin has been just a recent study. I have no experience what so ever with notation.
I'd have to admit that music wasn't always the love of my life. Though music is now one of the most important things in my life; in my past, being at veterinarian and dealing with animals in different ways was the one thing that I entended to do.
To this day, I still love to deal with animals, and that is one thing I have always done. I have never been without some type of pet, and I don't intend to start.
Music just intrigues me a bit more than what it had a few years back.
I still love animals to the greatest extent, but I now feel that my calling in life now lies in music.
My love for music and my talent for it comes from both sides of my family. The most of my music love comes from my mother's side of the family; the Millers. Almost every member from my father's side played some kind of music, mostly guitar.
This fact you may find hard to believe, but I am distantly related to the Lengendary Five-String Banjo player; Earl Scruggs, who is a distant cousin to me.
Matt Maydew was also my former Violin teacher when he came to town looking for a job. He taught me music for four months before he headed off to Nashville Tennessee for a Jam Session. I haven't heard from him since, but he is and will always be a great inspiration in my life.
We spent most of our time talking about music, and about his past times jamming with others. He was more than a teacher to me, he was a friend whom I grew fond of the minute we met. I respect his will power to play and his way to handle the Violin and Mandolin.
He taught me to play in full D scale and G scale, he also taught me to play the Bluegrass classic, "Boil Em' Cabbage Down"
There are few people who feel the same way as I do, and I can only hope that I will one day meet some of these people.
I will be going to college to major in music when I graduate, and I will hopefully have music as both a profession and a pastime.
Having a music career will be hard to find as there is much competition, but I am willing to go the distance, as music has been my lifes dream.
I have several favorite instruments, of which I could not choose between. I love Drums, Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello, Upright Bass, Double Bass, French Horn, Pipe Organ, Trumpet, Bugle, Acoustic Guitar, and many more. I love all instruments but those are what I love most in particular.
Other than wanting music as a career in life, I am just another average person, nothing special or out of the ordinary.
