Membership Overview:

The benefits of membership are almost too numerous to mention! Membership with the national organization comes with a subscription to Needle Arts magazine and access to many exciting classes for both individuals and groups.

Omaha Needle Artists has participated in group correspondence courses on Hardanger, Blackwork and Ukrainian embroidery over the last two years. EGA also has web-based classes for those who want to expand their stiching horizons but don't want the structure of a local class. National membership also provides access to a wide variety of instructional, historical, and educational resources to help answer all of your stitching questions.

Local membership also provides great benefits:

Take a look at our bi-monthly newsletter to see what we're up to. Both the day and evening meetings provide opportunities to learn (or teach) new stitches and techniques. Not to mention the great network of people you'll meet, and the opportunity to make new friends with people who have the love of needlework in common. Retreats, stitch-ins and meetings provide you a chance to 'get away' for a while and work on projects YOU want to do!

Participation is Key! Our goal is to have a group of active members who participate in our outreach and volunteer projects. However, we're aware that everyone has limits on what they can do, so Chapter members are encouraged to participate at whatever level fits their schedules. Examples of ongoing projects that we're involved in:
- Showcase
- Bookmarks and classes for the Omaha Public Libraries
- Crook House Christmas tree ornaments

The New Member Welcome Letter and Membership Application Form are available for download as Adobe .pdf files. Note: If you are thinking about joining, please download these two documents. The New Member Welcome Letter will answer many of the questions you are likely to have as a prospective member. We'll ask you to fill out the Membership Application and return it to us so we can process your membership.
