More about Alzheimer's Programs A Home Away From Home The Alzheimer's Partnership is a support group for caregivers of victims of Alzheimer's Disease. We offer direct counseling, and also maintain a library of educational materials, videos and periodicals for loan to caregivers. The Partnership also works with clients as the disease progresses to different stages. For example, we can help with nursing home referrals when that becomes a necessity.
An Adult Day Care Program for victims of Alzheimer's Disease is also available, a spin-off of the Partnership. This project provides much-needed respite to families caring for a member with Alzheimer's, giving them time for themselves and their own needs. The program is led by a Registered Nurse, and there is also a Certified Nursing Assistant on hand to assist the clients with their activities and needs.
At the Alzheimer's Respite Community Center (Adult Daycare) people who are Physically or cognitively impaired, unable to function independently, or live independantly but may have saftey issues, are ambulatory or mobile with assistive devices, are moderatly confused, able to participate in structured activities and are not bedridden or harmful to themselves or others benefit from a combination of fun, laughter, companionship and professional care. To participate in the Alzheimer's Partnership, to learn more about the Adult Day Care, or to Volunteer call (603) 752-3336 or (toll-free) 800-700-7654, and ask to speak with Kim Kilbride. |
