PTO Meeting on Thursday, November 17th at 7:15am
The next PTO meeting will be on Thursday, November 17th at 7:15am in the GES Library. Free coffee, juice, muffins and donuts will be provided. All students who have a parent in attendance will receive a free book of their choice from Scholastic Book Orders. The meeting will start promptly at 7:15am and will end at 7:50am. All parents, grandparents, teachers and community members are welcome to attend.
The students have worked hard creating beautiful artwork, now you treasure that artwork forever with t-shirts, stationary, magnets, pot holders, tote bags and much, much more! Customized catalogs and order forms will be going home on Friday, Nov. 13th. Along with each order form is a free sheet of stickers featuring your child's artwork for you to keep at NO cost! If you wish to order addditinal products simply fill out the order form and send it back to school along with the money by Monday, November 23rd. All orders will be delivered in time for Christmas vacation.
The first ever PTO Family Game Night will be held on Thursday, December 10th from 5:30pm- 7:00pm. Come join us for a fun night of family games and prizes. Refreshments will be sold.
The faculty and staff of Groveton Elementary School are pleased to announce first quarter honors and high honors students in grades 4 & 5. In order to qualify for honors, students must obtain an overall average of 88 in their core academic subjects, with no grade lower than 85. To qualify for high honors, students must obtain an overall average of 93 in their core academic subjects, with no grade lower than 90.

The cafeteria staff would like to invite all parents to come and have lunch with their children in the cafeteria.
Grade K parents will be on Tuesday, December 15th at 11:00am. Grades 1st & 2nd parents will come at 11:15am. Ravioli, Bread Butter, String Beans, Pears and Pudding will be served.
On Wednesday,December 17th at 11:45am grades 3rd-5th parents are invited to come for lunch. Texas Burger with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and french fries will be served.
Please send money in a seperate envelope with your child by Dec. 8th so we can have an accurate count. Pleasee label the envelope with the students name. Adult cost is $2.90 per lunch, Child cost is $1.70 per lunch.
One hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the type of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove, but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a CHILD.
