!!!CELEBRATE!!!

THE HOLIDAYS ARE HERE!!

Help Us Celebrate Children!!!

We met our goal of 2000 blankets in 2009!! But....I have outstanding needs that our chapter cannot meet without your help. It hurts to turn away a child in crisis. So please help....by sending in a Five Dollar Bill, or a roll of batting, some fabric or yarn.....and I will ensure your donation makes it to the hands of volunteers who will make blankets. Another suggestion: Do you have holiday parties at work, and always wonder what gift to bring for a coworker? Why not skip the gifts this year (do you really need another candle or box of candy?). Ask each coworker to donate a few dollars and then make a donation to Project Linus, which will provide blankets to children. Now that is true holiday spirit

Thank you!!!! Maureen

If you are not the crafty type, see our Wish List below. Many times a volunteer is retired, on a fixed income, and has a great desire to craft blankets for children. Yet, they do not have the financial resources to do so. With the yarn and fabric donations received by our chapter, we are able to provide these crafters with all the supplies they need to make a blanket. We are thrifty Yankees who seek out clearance sales, use coupons, and stretch every single dollar that is donated. Not one penny is wasted, so your donations result in the crafting of beautiful blankets of love for children in need.

Quilt Batting (either bags or rolls--we use it all)

Machine washable knitting yarn in child friendly colors

Polar fleece yardage (a high priority need for winter)

Postage stamps; mailing labels; envelopes, packing tape

Gasoline cards

Clear plastic storage bags

Gift Cards to craft stores or supercenters that carry craft items
