PAYMENT and FEE DETAILS NOTE!!: THIS PAGE NOT YET COMPLETELY UPDATED FOR HOMELINK! This page contains information on the 2006-2007 fees: TYPES OF FEES REGISTRATION FEES BUILDING USE FEES ADMINISTRATOR FEES PAY FOR PROFESSIONAL TEACHERS (has been updated for HomeLink) PAY FOR EXPERIENTIAL TEACHERS TUITION FEES TEACHERS' TUITION FOR ENROLLED CHILDREN MATERIALS FOR CLASSES PAYMENT PLAN REFUNDS WITHDRAWALS FROM CLASSES TEACHERS' PAYCHECK SCHEDULE TYPES OF FEES: There are four different fees involved in enrollment in the CHHS: Registration Fees, Building Use Fees, Administrator Fees and Tuition Fees. Each of the various types of fees are described below. REGISTRATION FEES: Registration fees are to be paid PER STUDENT. The cost of this non-refundable registration fee is determined to AT LEAST cover the cost of insurance, accounting fees and/or other Registration paperwork: $50 per student per year. Late fees, postmarked beyond the deadline, will be charged an additional 10% per week late payment penalty until payment is received. In addtion, a $30 surcharge will be made on any checks which bounce or are returned. Those persons wishing to enroll in the CHHS after designated deadlines must undergo the usual registration process (see Registration Page) and will be charged an additional Late Registration Fee of $150 (thus a total Late Registration Fee of $200). BUILDING USE FEES: In order to pay rent to the gracious facility that allows us to come in each week, for many hours, the CHHS must collect fees specifically designated to give to the host facility. This non-refundable fee is collected up front, at the conclusion of registration, and is in the amount of $100 per student, for the school year. ADMINISTRATOR FEES: Based on years of administrator experience since 1998, the current administrator is paid for overseeing the entire CHHS program. This fee is $125 per student. PAY FOR PROFESSIONAL TEACHERS: For the highest qualified teachers (Bachelors/Masters Degrees plus teaching experience), the pay is $30 an hour:
PAY FOR EXPERIENTIAL TEACHERS: For the homeschool teacher who doesn't necessarily have the full professional training (minor degrees and other) but has sufficient experience teaching the material (in homeschool and preferably in co-op settings), earnings are half that of the professionally trained teacher (see specific amounts above). TUITION FEES: Student tuition varies depending upon whether the class is taught by a Professional Teacher (PT) or an Experiential Teacher (ET). TEACHERS' TUITION FOR ENROLLED CHILDREN: If a teacher has his/her own children enrolled in the CHHS, their children can go free in the class/es that they themselves teach but no reduction is available for their personal children attending other classes in the Hybrid. MATERIALS FOR CLASSES: All texts and other classroom materials necessary for the class as per the Course Descriptions are the responsibility of each student and are not included in any CHHS tuition fees. Teachers are likewise required to furnish their own teaching materials. TUITION PAYMENTS: Tuition can be paid upfront in one sum, or on a 2-part semeseter payment plan; due dates are available upon request. A late fee of 10% will be applied per week to all payments which are paid/postmarked past the due dates. In addtion, a $30 surcharge will be made on any checks which bounce or are returned. REFUNDS: Since payments are made either upfront or on a semester basis ahead of each trimester, should a family determine for any reason that they cannot finish out the CHHS year, they have the option to finish out the semester since it is paid for, and no refund is necessary. WITHDRAWALS FROM CLASSES:
TEACHERS' PAYCHECK SCHEDULE: Teachers will be paid monthly and it is their responsibility to file their own income tax payments quarterly. Teachers will receive a 1099 form at the end of the tax year for their earnings in the CHHS. TOP |
