MISSION STATEMENTS (not yet updated for HomeLink)
 PRIMARY MISSION STATEMENT: The primary purpose of the CHHS is to help families to continue homeschooling through the Junior and Senior High School years by:

  • providing rigorous, accelerated academic courses which strive for Excellence in Home Education by:
  • partnering Christian homeschool educators with professional educators who can;
  • facilitate independent learning in the homeschooler and;
  • impart professional teaching expertise to homeschool students on a parttime basis in order to provide;
  • educational accountability outside the home, with;
  • consistent, high quality expectation levels for students; and
  • rich classroom experiences, on a parttime basis, prior to college; by
  • convening once a week in the subject areas of Math, Science, Foreign Language, Language Arts, and Classical Studies.
SECONDARY MISSION STATEMENT: Secondary to the above primary mission, the CHHS hopes to provide for all CHHS students positive, moral social opportunities as well as service and mission project opportunities. These goals are achieved via monthly social events; regularly scheduled service projects; and periodic mission trip opportunities. All of the above are parent- or teacher-driven and will not be available unless parents or teachers take on the necessary organizational duties. More information on all of these opportunities can be found on the Extra-Curricular Opportunities page.

EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY

The HNNJ desires to support homeschooling by facilitating independent learning which is presented through challenging, thorough, academic curricula, many taught from a biblical worldview. Scriptures and biblical principles are integrated into all that is taught whenever possible. The HNNJ also strives to maintain high academic standards along with positive moral character development. All instructors participating in the HNNJ will value and maintain home education principles. It is not the intention of the HNNJ to replace the home learning experience but rather to partner along with, secondarily to, home education. Parents are still "primary educators", fully responsible for their students' education and are expected to oversee all aspects of coursework presented in the HNNJ. Enrolling students in the HNNJ does not absolve parents of their responsibility to meet requirements of New Jersey Home School Law
Official School Colors: Red and Black. Why?

"But If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from the darkness of our sin." 1 John 1:7

"I think [this verse] represents [well] the blood and sin ... I also like how it mentions fellowship, since we have fellowship at Hybrid."

-Jarek, former CHHS student
