SAFETY: Safe boating conduct must be observed at all times by all tournament participants. Each participant is required to wear a Coast Guard approved chest – type life preserver (PFD). The PFD must be worn, zipped up and the Kill Switch attached anytime the Outboard Motor is running and remain on until they reach their fishing area and the outboard engine is shut down. Numbers are given out at the time of registration. Preregistered participants will be given numbers first. ALL BOATS MUST BE INSPECTED BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT BEGINS by a tournament official. 8. BASIC BOAT EQUIPMENT: All boats must have all the required U.S. Coast Guard equipment. In addition, each boat must have a functioning Livewell system capable of sustaining a 5 fish limit. Tournament Officials shall have the sole responsibility of determining whether aeration and capacity are “proper and adequate”. 9. No trailering of boats is permitted during tournament hours. 10. OFFICAL CHECK-IN: There is only one official check-in area in all tournaments this will be the weigh-in site. All contestants are responsible to check-in with the weigh master at the weigh-in area before the tournament cutoff. Anyone late to the weigh-in site shall be penalized one (1) pound per minute late, to be deducted from the combined weight for the day, including any “Lunker Award”. Anyone 10 minutes late is disqualified automatically. All fish may be culled at any time but no boat shall have more than the legal limit at any time. 11. SCORING: Tournament scores shall be based on the total combined weight of a five (5) fish limit of 12” or larger legal bass. Only Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass will be weighed in. If in the judgment of the Tournament Officials any fish that is presented for weigh-in has been mashed, mauled or mangled, that fish will not be counted in the teams combined total and may not be substituted once presented to the weigh master. Once the teams catch is presented to the weigh master, they become property of the weigh master. Contestants must make sure their catch is 12” BEFORE turning them over to the weigh master. Fish presented to the weigh master for weigh-in, which fall short of the required 12” minimum length will be removed from the teams total and also be assessed penalties at a rate of 0ne (1) pound per short fish. You can request a courtesy measurement before you dump your fish into the tub. Each team is responsible and expected to keep their catch alive through all reasonable measures. However sometimes fish do die during tournament hours. These fish MUST be counted as part of your limit anyone CULLING DEAD FISH will be automatically disqualified. Dead fish also carry an automatic two (2) ounce or .2 tenths penalty per dead fish. 12. TIES: In the event of a tie for any place, the team with the greatest number of fish will be awarded the place in question. If the tie is still unbroken, the team with the largest fish, if know, will win the place in question. If the tie is still in effect a flip of a coin by the weigh master will be the determining factor. 13. PROTESTS: Any contestant wishing to protest the weight or conduct of a fellow participant must do so in writing within thirty-(30) minutes of the Official Check-in time of the tournament NOT 30 minutes after weigh-in. The determinations of the tournament officials will be final. 14. SUBSTITUTIONS: Each team is allowed two substitutes per year or one substitute for each team member. Any team member may fish alone at any time. 15. POINTS: Points will be awarded for each place finished. They will be 200 for 1st. 198 for 2nd. 196 for 3rd., etc. They will be combined with the teams catch for the day for total points towards the Classic. The TOP 12 Teams will fish in the Classic at years end. 16. LIMIT SIZE: The daily creel limit will be 5 – 12” or better fish. If you surrender more than 5 fish to the weigh master, you will be penalized your largest fish. This will mean you will have your largest fish thrown back until you reach the five fish limit.
