Thanks to all our 2011 sponsors and prize donors we were able to increase the amount of the 2012 scholarships we offer to young women of Franklin Township. In 2012, we will be sponsoring five $1000.00 scholarships to deserving young women in Franklin Township.

     President's Corner

I'm so glad we all had a good time at the General Meeting at the Moose Lodge, and I was very grateful for the Lodge's hospitality and assistance setting up that night. We will continue to explore alternative meeting places for January and beyond, so that we can all be comfortable during our meetings. Please be assured that we will communicate the plans to everyone for the January meeting as soon as we have made them. As is our custom, December's meeting on Monday, the 12th, will be at Middlebush Reformed Church for the Bell Ringers, and please note our meeting will BEGIN at 6:30PM. It will be an abbreviated meeting so that we can all hear the Bell Ringers when they start rehearsal at 7PM.

Our fall workshops for Christmas Ornaments and Green Arrangements have shown how much talent we have to show off! And I'm very proud of how our Community Improvement and Home Life Social Services projects reflect our concern for those in our area. Thank you to the Chairmen and all participants. I know we will keep up the good work!

The Scrapbooking Workshop was very successful, and I applaud Joanne, Joyce and Sharon for their efforts in establishing this event on a regular basis.

As I think about all the beautiful jewelry we got to see at our meeting, and which some of us got to demonstrate (it was fun being a jewelry model), I am reminded of the beauty of the holiday season. My sincere wish is that you all may enjoy the season with loved ones and friends, and that all your holiday plans may be filled with splendor and love!

    Fondly,

    Mary Lou Bak
