![]() ![]() Home among the gum trees 2 MORE STILL TO COME G'Day Mate!! AMAZING!!! Australia- you name it we did it. Sydney Opera House- yes and we saw an opera there too. Climbed across the top of a bridge, took a boat ride through the harbor. Moving on to Surfer Paradise- some of us surfed and other drove, yes drove, to the Australia Zoo(Steve Irwin). The girls had a fantastic time. Feeding the kangaroo's and seeing all the tributes to Steve was quite overwhelming. We took a ferry to Fraser Island( the worlds largest sand island). This was a beautiful tropical island where we saw dingo footprints along the beach. We watched the sunset on the beach and by night the stars were magnificent. We were able to see the Milky Way and the Southern Cross. At Fraser Island we went four wheeling and got to go swimming in a beautiful blue lake on top of the island. As we entered our next stop we crossed the Tropic of Capricorn. In Rock Hampton we visited a crocodile farm where we explored the farm by night and ate crocodile soup. Yes, it was real crocodile. The next morning we headed to the "Outback". A cattle ranch in the middle of no where. We slept in cute little cottages. And Mrs. B won the prize- a green frog in her toilet. We sang some songs, sat by the fire, danced, played pool. The next morning we headed out horseback riding. It was cool, the skulls on the ground. We drove to another harbor where we boarded another ferry and head off the Whitsunday Islands. This was the essences of tropical island. Wallabies running about and while we ate birds came strolling into the restaurant. At night there was karaoke. Yes, everyone got on stage singing and dancing in front of the world. Everyone was great and everyone had a great time. The following morning we headed off to spend the day on a catamaran. This was awesome. We took a dingy to go swimming at a remote beach and than to go snorkeling in the crystal blue water. Cairns was our last stop. Great shopping. Here we took an hour & a half boat ride out to the Great Barrier Reef. On the way we had the opportunity to see whales leaping out of the water. What an experience. It is the best place in the world for snorkeling and scuba diving. After a long day out at sea what else is there to do -sleep- NOT- lets go to the movies-yes- Harry Potter, then dinner, and shopping. There will be plenty of time to sleep on the plane. Who would have guessed how much time there would be on the plane. But we won't go there. The memories of Australia are much more enjoyable to remember than a slight delay. G'DAY! img src="http://i11.tinypic.com/4voqyk2.png" border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic">
