TROOP 158

We are a Senior troop in Jackson, NJ. During our Girl Scout career, we have been involved in many projects. We assisted with the Easter Egg event, a Spa Day, and even hosted a collection for the Northern Ocean Animal Shelter, which resulted in donations of over 3,000 items! We have planted flowers, cleaned properties, and helped those less fortunate. We have been to Toms River, Farmingdale, Philadelphia, Cape May, and New York! We enjoy camping, seeing new places, and having fun!

Girl Scout Troop 158 - New Info

We have completed another Girl Scout year! Congratulations on all your accomplishments!

Our last meeting will, of course, be a ceremony. Please begin to plan this event together. Remember that Jenna has joined our troop and we should include this in the ceremony.

THE GIRL SCOUT PROMISE AND LAW
THE GIRL SCOUT PROMISE

On my honor, I will try:
to serve God and my country,
to help people at all times,
and to live by the Girl Scout Law.

THE GIRL SCOUT LAW

I will do my best to be
honest and fair,
friendly and helpful,
considerate and caring,
courageous and strong, and
responsible for what
I say and do,
And to
respect myself and others,
respect authority,
use resources wisely,
make the world a better place, and
be a sister to every Girl Scout.

  IT IS STILL HUGS TIME
IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO GIVE A HUG!

HUGS is a Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore program, designed to give an opportunity to individuals and families to show their financial support for our Council. The HUGS Program provides our local Girl Scout council with funding to develop new programs and services, and to continue the great programs and services we enjoy! Please return the envelope (with or without a donation) to your advisor. Each family contributing to the HUGS program receives a HUGS patch.

    Folding chair
    Sleeping bag
    Extra blanket
    Toiletries: soap, washcloth, towel
    Deodorant
    Sunscreen
    Hat
    Gloves
    Poncho
    Hairbrush
    Bag for dirty clothing
    Camera
Please leave all electronics (IPODs, MP3 players, cell phones, etc. at home!)

TROOP ACTIVITIES
Now is the time to begin to think about your personal and troop goals activities during 2009. Some suggested activities are: go camping near Hershey, go to NYC to see Love Never Dies - the sequel to Phantom of the Opera (it is scheduled to open in December 2009), white water rafting, and tubing down the Delaware.

All families need to discuss these issues so we know if we have any strong opinions which need consideration.

More discussion to follow.
