SPORTING CLAYS SHOOT
Registration at 9:00 am / Squadded Start at 9:30 am
The annual event will be held at Miele Field, located at the end of Britten Road in Green Village. The event is a 100 Target Lewis Fun Shoot. The entry fee is $TBD which includes lunch. There is an additional $TBD Lewis Cash Option. Pre-registration is required. Click HERE to download a registration form. OPEN HOUSE
The Green Village Volunteer Fire Department is hosting an Open House on Sunday, , 2010. The event will provide an opportunity to get to know the firefighters protecting you and your community. You can familiarized yourself with the various events the fire department holds as well as the many ways the fire department supports our community and the communities around us. Fire fighters will be on hand to provide fire safety tips and answer questions as well as demonstrate various fire fighting maneuvers and extrication techniques (weather permitting). The fire trucks will be on display, tours of the firehouse will be given and there will be games for all. Light refreshments and snacks will be available. Come alone or bring the family anytime between 1 and 5pm. GARAGE SALE
The Auxiliary of the Green Village Volunteer Fire Department is hosting its biennial multi-family Garage Sale. The sale will be from 9-1 at the Green Village Fire House located at 529 Green Village Road in Green Village. Table space is available for rent at $TBD/8 foot table. Proceeds from the rentals benefit the Auxiliary for fire scene relief, training and community outreach. A wide range of items will be available - antiques, children’s toys, jewelry, housewares, books, clothing and much, much more. Home baked goods will be available as well. Parking is free. MEMORIAL DAY SERVICE AND PARADE
A brief service and laying of the wreath will be held on the green in Green Village at 8:30am. Following the service, Green Village Volunteer Fire Department members will be marching in New Vernon's annual Memorial Day Parade. The parade begins at 9am.

FIREMATICS COMPETITION
Come and cheer on the Green Village Volunteer Fire Fighters as they again participate in the annual Tri-County Firematics Competition. Nine fire departments compete for the fastest times in each of three events - the single hose, double hose, and the ladder. This year's Firematics Competition will be held in and will start at 11am.

4TH OF JULY PARADE
Green Village Volunteer Fire Department members will be marching in Chatham Borough's Annual 4th of July Parade. The parade begins at 10:00am.

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT
The Green Village Volunteer Fire Department will once again participate in the National Night Out Against Crime with a community barbeque beginning at 6 p.m. in front of the firehouse. McGruff, the crime dog, along with Chatham Township Police will attend. Hamburgers and hot-dogs will be provided by the Fire Department. Members of the community are welcome to attend.

STEAK & LOBSTER DINNER
This annual fundraiser will take place from 6pm until 9pm (orders will be taken no later than 8:30pm). Dinners include you choice of steak or lobster, french fries, salad, dessert, birch beer, beer, wine, coffee and tea. Steamers and shrimp cocktail will also be available. The children's menu (under 12 only) includes a choice of hamburger or hot dog. Take-out will also be available. Tickets will be available at the door, however, to guarantee your dinner, the Steak & Lobster Committee suggests pre-purchasing your tickets as there will be a limited quantity. Prices are: Lobster ($TBD), Steak ($TBD), Shrimp Cocktail ($TBD), Steamers ($TBD) and Hamburger/Hot Dog (children under 12 ONLY) ($TBD). A minimum purchase of $15 per adult is required. GOLF OUTING
This year’s Annual Golf Outing will be held at Madison Golf Club. This is a day of fun and prizes for golfers as they raise money to support the Green Village Fire Department. Individuals or groups of four may sign up to play. The day culminates with dinner at the firehouse and announcement of prize winners. The cost is $TBD per person or $TBD for a corporate sponsor which includes a foursome and sign sponsorship. Golf sign sponsors are $TBD per sign that advertise the entire year at the firehouse and all firehouse events. ICE CREAM SOCIAL
Kicking off this year’s Fire Prevention week, the Green Village Volunteer Fire Department and Auxiliary are sponsoring an ice cream social. Additionally, fire fighters will be on hand to provide fire safety tips for the young and old as well as demonstrate various fire fighting techniques. The festivities are from 1:00 to 3:00 pm and the activities are on-going. We hope that members of the community will join us for this free, kid-friendly event. This event will be held rain or shine.

QUILT RAFFLE DRAWING

	The hand-made queen size quilt was made in the Pennsylvania Dutch country. Tickets are $TBD each with maximum of 300 tickets to be sold. The winning ticket will be drawn at 3pm. FIRE FIGHTER'S SUNDAY
Members of the Green Village Volunteer Fire Department will attend a special worship service at 10am at the United Methodist Church in Green Village. Fire Fighters provide fire safety tips, along with a look at a real fire truck for the church school children.

FALL BLAST SHOOT
The annual event will be held at Miele Field, located at the end of Britten Road in Green Village. The event consists of you choice of Competition, Red Bird, Team Covey, Dead Mark with prizes awarded to the winners. Pre-registration is required. VETERAN'S DAY SERVICE
A service and laying of the wreath is held at the Memorial Stone on the green in Green Village at 11:00am.

VISIT FROM SANTA

	Santa Claus will make his annual visit to the Green Village Firehouse at 6pm. Families can come and watch as Santa arrives by fire truck to light up the tree. Before going to the firehouse to visit with Santa, you are welcome to join your neighbors at the United Methodist Church in Green Village for their annual Hot Dog Supper beginning at 4:30. At 5:45 the group will walk from the church down a nostalgic luminary lit road singing Christmas Carols to await Santa’s arrival. After Santa lights the tree, he will proceed into the fire house to hear the children’s Christmas wishes. The children also receive a stocking filled with goodies. Complementary refreshments and cookies will be provided by the Auxiliary. The Auxiliary will be collecting monetary contributions towards holiday purchases of food gift certificates and/or phone cards for the Jersey Battered Woman’s Shelter’s clients and children. All are welcome to this free event.

RAFFLE DRAWING
The Green Village Volunteer Fire Department is running its annual raffle with six drawings. The prizes will be based on a percentage of the gross proceeds (1st - 20%; 2nd - 10%; 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th - 5%). The purchase of a $100 raffle ticket enters you in all six drawings. With only 200 tickets available, they will be sold on a "first come, first serve" basis. Tickets will be available after September. To purchase a raffle ticket, please click HERE to print a form.
