In general, South Jersey Chapter holds their meetings on the second Tuesday of the month. This is always subject to change due to board members' work, the program itself or family emergencies.

Our chapter represents a group of highly dedicated administrative professionals from many of the largest and most successful employers in New Jersey/Philadelphia metropolitan area (American Water, Campbell Soup Co., Dow Chemical Company, NFI Industries, Renwick & Associates, Township of Franklin Schools, Tax Solutions, Inc. and many other prestigious firms).

PROGRAM: Workplace Violence and Using Critical Thinking Skills to Diffuse a Situation

7:00-8:00 P.M. Captain Christopher Fletcher, Maple Shade Police Department

Our program will cover the profile of an “Active Shooter,” how to respond if an act of violence is occurring in your vicinity, recognizing potential workplace violence, how to respond once law enforcement arrives and the training of staff for any possible scenario.

Because these situations can occur quickly and without forewarning, you should be prepared both mentally and physically to deal with an active situation. Captain Fletcher will provide detailed instructions in dealing with this type of situation, including what you can do and what your company should be prepared for in the future.

In 1995, Captain Fletcher was hired by the Maple Shade Police Department and worked as a police officer until 1999, undercover narcotic’s officer until 2000, on loan to the Narcotic’s Task Force and detective until 2002. In 2002, was promoted to Detective Sergeant responsible for supervising the criminal investigations division and as primary internal affairs investigator, and in 2007 was promoted to Detective Lieutenant responsible for the criminal investigation division, internal affairs and the state accreditation program. In 2010, he was promoted to Captain and is responsible for all three divisions: patrol, investigations and administrative.

A certification point has been requested for attending this session.

From RT-130 North: Follow 130 North to the RT-90 JCT ramp toward BETSY ROSS BRIDGE/PHILADELPHIA. Merge onto NJ-90 East toward RT-73 South. NJ-90 E becomes NJ-73 S. Follow 73 South to the Stiles Ave. exit. Make a slight right on to Stiles Avenue North. The Maple Shade Library is located in the township building on your right. (lower level)

From RT-130 South: Follow 130 South to the Haddonfield/Atlantic City Route 73 South exit. Follow 73 South to the Stiles Ave. exit. Make a slight right on to Stiles Avenue North. The Maple Shade Library is located in the township building on your right. (lower level)

From RT-38: Follow RT-38 to the RT-73 North exit. Follow 73 North to the Moorestown/Maple Shade exit (at the Moorestown Pub). Turn left at the end of the exit toward Maple Shade. Turn right on to Stiles Avenue North. The library will be on your left inside the township building. (lower level)

From I-295: Take exit number 36B - toward RT-73 N Tacony Bridge. Turn left onto Nixon Dr. Nixon Dr. becomes Collins Rd. Turn Right onto NJ-73 N. Follow 73 North to the Moorestown/Maple Shade exit (at the Moorestown Pub). Turn left at the end of the exit toward Maple Shade. Turn right on to Stiles Avenue North.
