Make a Blanket Day, 2009
Project Linus is a 100% volunteer, non-profit organization with a two-fold mission:
- First, to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets, loviongly created by volunteer "blanketeers."
- Second, to provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for individuals and groups in the local community, for the benefit of children
The Hudson/Bergen Chapter of Project Linus was started in mid-2002 and since then has donated over 12,500 blankets to children in distress in our area.
