Welcome to Troop 149 of High Bridge, NJ! For over the past 100 years we have striven to fulfill the mission and vision statements of the Boy Scouts of America.

We've taught the scouts the importance of the Scout Oath and the Scout Law, as well as to try and incorporate them into their daily lives. Also, we've tried to instill in the scouts a sense of community, the importance of physical well-being, leadership, confidence, to love & respect the outdoors, and of course to have fun.

Does your son like the outdoors, helping the community, and having fun with his peers? If so Troop 149 is open for boys, ages 11 - 18, to join us as a scout. Simply come to a troop meeting and sign up. For details about troop meetings please see below.

Current News:

* We'd like to congratulate the following Cubs for their Pinewood Derby wins - Navio Delgado (3rd), Spencer Poe (2nd), and Ryan Thomsen (1st). We wish them luck at Districts if they attend.

* The March campout is coming soon (24-26). It's a survival competition campout. The scouts will be showing their skills at building shelters, starting fires (flint or friction), snares & traps for food, primitive cooking, navigation techniques, etc. They will be scored for their abilities with the best scout earning a prize. Scouts should read up on their skills and practice them in the coming weeks. Please sign-up and return your permission slip & fee in the coming troop meetings.

* The April campout is coming soon (7-8). We'll be attending a C.O.P.E. weekend at Ockanickon where we'll participate on their ropes courses and climbing tower. Please sign-up and return your permission slip & fee in the coming troop meetings.
