If you have a talent or a profession you can share with a Scout to help them earn a Merit Badge, please consider becoming a Merit Badge Counselor.
The counselor's job is to assist the Scout as he plans the assigned projects and activities to meet the merit badge requirements.
Coach the Scouts using interviews and demonstrations about how to do the required skills of your own craft, business, or hobby.
Certify the Scout if you are satisfied that he has met all requirements and is qualified for the merit badge.
MERIT BADGE COUNSELOR APPLICATION
MERIT BADGE REQUIREMENTS:Please see the Links Section near the bottom of the left margin for a link to Merit Badge.com. They have the requirements listed for all badges. The new list of Pahaquarra District Merit Badge Counselors and those from Troop 199 is available anytime from the Scoutmaster or other Troop Committee member.
MERIT BADGE CARDS:You've worked so hard to earn that merit badge -- don't jeopardize it by filling out the card incorrectly! This file gives instructions for care and feeding of your precious card, and shows an example of a properly-completed card.
