Welcome to our website!

We are a Cadette troop and we're from Toms River, NJ. Many of us have been together or in scouts since Daisys! Our troop has 15 dedicated girls who have a great sense of adventure!! They are active in council and service unit events. They also enjoy traveling and camping trips. Service for others is also an important part of our program. We are always happy to accept new members.

The troop has recently grown in size!
Rachel, Crystal, Tiffany and Haley have decided to join our troop.

Krystina recruited two friends, Mandy and Nicole to join us. Mandie had been a brownie scout and this is Nicole's first time in scouts!

Katie has decided to return and we're glad to have her back!

THE GIRL SCOUT MISSION

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

BRONZE AWARD UPDATES

The Bronze Award is the highest award a Junior Girl Scout may earn. It requires a number of "prerequisites" and then a service project that must take atleast 15 hours to complete.

CONGRATULATIONS TO SARAH AND HEATHER FOR COMPLETING THEIR PROJECTS!! WELL DONE.

MANY THANKS!

In March, we had 7 girls come to the armory to help with a new service project! They spent several hours boxing up food/snacks and personal care items for solders who are deployed overseas. Over 300 boxes were packed and ready to ship out. Two of our girls, Alison and Heather are involved with this organization for their Bronze award. They are collecting personal care and food items. If you are in Ocean County and would like to donate items for our troops (military that is), send us an email.

SERVICE PROJECTS

Our newest service project is making pillows for the Air National Guard. They requested the patriotic pillows for 131 of their members. The pillows will accompany them on the plane when they deploy on June 14th.

During April the girls volunteered at the state tree nursery in Jackson. They have an enormous job of getting seedlings ready to be given to 3rd graders through out the state. We sorted, counted and bundled over 6,000 seedlings while we were there. We were a little muddy by the time we were finished but had a great time helping out. Many hands make light work! Great job girls.
