2008-2009 Theme: Join the Adventure...Adventures in Mothering!
"...how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ..." Ephesians 3:18
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, a program designed to nurture mothers with children from infancy through kindergarten. MOPS groups meet in churches throughout the United States, Canada, and 19 other countries. The women are of many ages and backgrounds, but share the same desire - to be the best mothers they can be.
The MOPS International theme for 2008-2009 is Adventures in Mothering! This theme will equip us to learn more about ourselves as we go through the adventure of motherhood. Moms will learn to celebrate and embrace the fun in the experiences, even in the midst of daily mom life that stretches us emotionally and spiritually.
The metaphor for Adventures in Mothering is an amusement park. With all the sights, sounds, tastes and smells of the amusement park, motherhood might feel like a sensory overload. But Farmington MOPS will enjoy this together as we learn more about ourselves as women, moms and leaders.
Farmington MOPS meet the second Thursday of every month beginning September 11, 2008 at Northside Church of Christ.
