If you are a high school student (9th-12th grade) from New Mexico or Southwest Texas and are interested in entering your research project in competition, please read further.

Unfortunately, staffing issues almost caused the cancelation of this year's symposium. However, last minute organizers were found, and the symposium WILL happen. But we must apologize in advance if some aspects of the competition are last-minute or not as refined as they could be. But we assure you we will do our best to address all issues within our means. Thank you for your understanding!

• 15 February (SOFT DEADLINE)- Application and Signature Forms due.(see Document Section Below) NOTE: Because of the lateness of this notice, interested students and/or sponsors can contact the Director to notify him of your intentions and request an extension if this deadline cannot be met.
• 22 February - announcement of student presenters
• 10 March - Full Paper submission required from all preenters.
• 26 March (Saturday Only)- Symposium Date
• 25 March (Friday) Due to small numbers, no out-of-town students, and budget restraints, no Friday activities are planned, including overnight hotel stays.
• 26 March (Saturday) - Competition and Announcement of Awards - see schedule in the documents section below.
• 27 March (Sunday) - Due to small numbers, no out-of-town students, and budget restraints, no Sunday activities are planned, including overnight hotel stays.
• Location: Albuquerque, NM - MCM Elegante Hotel. (see hotel info in documents section below)
• Attendees: Numbers are small this year. Anyone who otherwise meets the qualifications to compete will likely be invited to do so. So we encourage you to apply, but please do so ASAP. The competition is quickly approaching.
