| News ARVAS held its annual Aquarium Tropical Fish Show 2018 Will be from Monday, April 23rd through Saturday, April 28th at the Olean Public Library in Olean, NY. Library statistics show about 4,000 people visit the library during the week of our show. ARVAS ANNUAL AUCTION 2018 ,Columbus Day Weekend, on Sunday, October 7, 2018, at the John Ash Community Center, 112 N. Barry Street, Olean, NY, starting at 11 AM. Anyone can buy and/or sell. All items being sold must be tropical fish keeping hobby related. |

We are a not for profit organization that promotes the education,the development and the preservation of the fish keeping hobby.
ARVAS was founded in 1979
2017 will be our 38th year as a club
Guests and prospective members are always welcome
Monthly meetings are the 2nd Friday of every month at 7:30 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (glass doors in middle) on 212 Laurens Street, Olean, NY 14760.
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP fees are as follows:
Individual $10.00
Senior over age 62-$6.00
Student [full time up to age 20-$6.00
Family-$16.00
Vested-equal to 3 yrs consecutive paid dues and remains in effect as long as you are an active member..
**Membership includes monthly electronic newsletters.
For a hard copied/ mailed newsletter there is a $5.00 yearly publishing/mailing fee (to be paid with the annual membership)
Monthly meetings consists of a brief business meeting, a program that is hobby related and is usually a speaker or a video, a bowl show, door prizes, a mini auction and refreshments
We have a BAP (breeder awards program) and a HAP (horticulture award program)
We also belong to FAAS (Federation of American Aquarium Socities)
Yearly club activities include a yealy auction, an aquarium tropical fish show, a summer family picnic, a Christmas party and awards dinner, growth contests, shop hops, and field trips
