• KITTEN KABOODLES
Let the fun begin! We are in need of temporary foster homes for several litters of kittens. Some with and without moms. Watching kittens play is more entertaining than any show currently on TV. CNYCC will supply set-up supplies including containment crates to keep both them and your house safe, litter pans and litter, food and dishes, etc. If you have room in you heart to get these babies off the street and have the time of your life while helping save theirs -PLEASE contact Michele at 463-5902 - email merpcat@msn.com or Carolyn at 469-6569.

Changing the world for homeless cats... " FOUR PAWS AT A TIME"
A crisis of pet overpopulation exists, and the homeless cat problem is one for humans to resolve. CNYCC is an all volunteer, community-based organization of feline welfare groups and caring individuals. Dedicated to reducing the homeless cat population through non-lethal means and finding safe loving homes for as many cats as possible throughout CNY.

CNYCC receives no government funding. The generous support of the community is needed for us to provide our services. Donations can be made by check, money order or credit card through PayPal®. You do not need to have a paypal account to use this service.

To donate to CNYCC
United Way - Donor Option
CNYCC may receive contributions through the United Way. To participate simply request a Donor Option form from you company's United Way representative.
Please note even if you have designated a United Way contribution to CNYCC in the past, you must fill out a new donor option form each year.
CNYCC is not a shelter, we foster cats in our own homes. We do not have enough volunteer foster sites or the resources to take in every stray cat or her litter. Our objective is to promote the spay and neuter of pets and neighborhood strays, to help stabilize the population through our trap spay/neuter and vaccinate program. Our approach is the most humane solution to the cat over population problem, while still providing the best possible care for the cats, no new litters of unwanted kittens are born.
Your actions can make a difference! CNYCC offers Fees - Female $70.00 and Male $50.00 includes surgical procedure plus vaccination for rabies and distemper.
Minimal fees may apply for additional treatments if necessary :
Fleas $1.00 - Ear mites $3.00 - Females that are in heat $10.00.
- PetSmart and North Shore Animal League are sometimes available as adoption options. (See info links) Space is limited, so don't wait, make every effort to find safe permanent homes for the animals in your care.
Prevent a Litter - Fix that Critter
Every decision to spay or neuter your pet or neighborhood stray is a good one. It's a one-time cost—and we offer it at a low cost. The fee you pay for your pet is a bargain compared to the cost of raising a litter with significant food, litter and veterinary costs. Finding homes for them is not easy and in a just a few months - the kittens reach breeding age and Mom is having another litter.
It's a very small price to pay for the prevention of the birth of more unwanted pets.
The success of our program depends entirely on the participation of pet owners, concerned citizens, our volunteers and the support of the public.

Please keep in mind that we have no paid staff, and receive numerous calls daily. A volunteer will call when available to schedule a clinic date but it could take a week or more.
Some of the cats and kittens we have looking for fur-ever homes can be seen in the adoption centers located in the PetSmart Stores. Many more are available from foster care in private homes. Please visit the our kitties links located to the left of this page to see photos of just a few.
The most important thing you can do to prevent Animal Cruelty and help reduce overpopulation is NEVER EVER offer kitties for FREE
Adopting is a big decision.
Pet ownership is very rewarding, and a long term commitment. When you are ready to make it - Please adopt from a "no-kill" rescue group - animals cats been rescued KNOW they’ve been saved, and really show their gratitude.

We are always in need of volunteers to foster cats and kittens and would really welcome your assistance. We receive many calls from people who happen on homeless mom cats with litters of kittens but are unable to provide a safe environment. Momma and these kittens need the love, attention and peace of a foster guardian's home where they can thrive and learn to enjoy human companionship.
