The first thing I did Thursday afternoon was hang up our beautiful Committee picture. We are standing in front of the Long Island Duck

Mary and Michele know how to start off a Red Hat Convention!!!

Almost 300 women came out in pouring rain to register Thursday evening.

We had some Lucky Winners at the Convention

Of course we checked out the vendors as they were setting up

October 12, 2007

The committee was flying high with the beautiful decorations

We had "Hattie" the traveling hat at our Convention. It is the second time "Hattie" has been to Long Island.

Registration Morning

Lunch Time

Many ladies did not see this funny act. It went on after lunch, the same time many of you went to have your picture taken. They were excelent.

The is the New Queens Symposium. Isobel and I had such a good time meeting all the ladies.

We made time for a Chapter Dinner

The Gaudy Girls put on a GREAT show!

Here we are, waiting for the Parade of Queens

Two Queens of Vice!

Queen Charlotte Rose

These ladies wanted to take our picture, I beat them to it and took theirs.

I asked Mary to share the story of her gown. Mary said; “after not being claimed at the Dry Cleaners for two years, this dress was offered to my friend, Roseanne, she accepted it and shared it with me. It is truly a Cinderella gown and a Cinderella story. Put on the dress and all of a sudden I was carried away into a fairy land where I was so special and I could do anything. While I wore that dress I floated around hotel and then danced as I never did before at the Savoy. Don’t tell anyone (that's a joke) but since no one could see my feet I even danced to songs I didn't even know. The best part of the whole day and evening was when Tom Crosby; our "Tommy" danced with me. Talk about feeling 21 again. That's what this whole thing is about. Fun, fun, fun.

Ms New York told us the interesting story of how they entered the contest then sang to us with their beautiful voice.

They were soooooo good!!

The Divas really got us moving!

The Divas got the whole room to dance down the runway!

Fashion Show Time

Thanks for the pictures Regina

Saturday Night Dress Up time

Adel treated us to the "Statue of Liberty" last year. It was such a fun surprise. She started the march around the room to "God Bless America" Adel could not make it this year. We are all sending our love and healing to her.

Rather than watch the "Elvis" show we had our fun outside the Ballroom

Here is Jo giving Tom a hug of gratitude

We went to the Savoy a little early and met the Terrific Tootsies there. We had so much fun before the keyboard player started. We also had a lot of fun after he started to play.

We got our own solo performance from a Terrific Tootsie

Barbara entertained us with a song and dance "Second Hand Rose"
