Here is how I started the day - At 9:30 I double checked the computer to make sure there were no last minute problems

Most of the Fashion Show preperation was done on the computer

When we got to the Milleridge Inn we found a problem - smoke!

First item to take care of - Get rid of smoke!!

The cover of our program

Louise and Johanna

Start to welcome the committee members and helpers.

Glad to see all the help

This day couldn't have been possible without all the wonderful help from my committee ladies!

Thanks Sheila

Big Job!! Getting ready to check in 360 ladies!
Time to check the podium and decide to turn the fire place off.

Time to give a little practice speech

Here is what the room looked like as the ladies were entering the lobby

What a diffence an hour is going to make

Fred Cohen was hired by the "Red Hat Society" to make a documentary. He has done many locations so far. He has been to the Birthday Bash in NYC, the Alaska cruise, he will be going to Kissimmee for the Florida Convention and after he leaves our fashion show he will be on his way to Australia to video a chapter there. We were honored to have him at our luncheon.

Red Hat Calendar made by a Cape Cod Chapter

I think this picture says a lot! I love it!

We are patiently waiting for fun

Everything is set to go. Johanna (my co chair) has checked it out!

Important job

Without Rose in charge of the Door Prizes - what would have happened?

How pretty everything looked

Here comes the test! Everyone is arriving - EARLY OF COURSE!

I guess we are up to 250 now!

Oh Boy! We are packing them in, and it's only 10:45!

How many now?

I hope everyone is getting to know one another.

It is a beautiful site

At last, they can get into the room.

The room is almost ready

Let's get comfortable

And so it begins

Beautiful Centerpieces

Four Crimson Red Hatters

Long Time Friends - we could have been Pink Hatters

Meg and Louise

Time to welcome everyone. I read the poem by Jenny Joseph to start the day.

Who knew having a red hat would be so much fun!

This is how it all began. When Carole came to an event, there was always a story behind her outfit. So, I thought there must be many Carol's out there - and that was my first thought for the Fashion Show. Carol now lives in Florida, but flew here especially for the show (and also to celebrate her grandsons birthday). Thanks for all the fun Carol.

This was a prom dress she found in a second hand shop

Time for a picture before the show begins

Smile

Red Hat Society Photographers are patiently waiting for the fun part!

Worth waiting for

Time for our salad

A Red Hat Room

A few of the beautiful doorprizes

Our wonderful Keyboard player has arrived

Phyllis Tagg

Phyllis leads us off with "When the Red Red Hatters" song

Sung to the tune of "When the Red Red Robin"

Jo and Maureen

Phyllis did such a good job we gave her a Red hat to wear!

Now she looks the part!

The ladies presented Johanna and myself each with two dozen beautiful red roses and a beautiful pin. Thank you ladies, it was such a nice thing to do.

Here we are opening the beautiful Queen pin

Here is a picture of Kay, Johanna, Me (Louise) and Carole

Carole and Louise

Carole Barris did a FANTASTIC narration of our Fashion Show.

The Highlight of the day

Here is a small sample of the beautiful models. Each had a unique story to go with her outfit. They were sensational!

We had a total of 27 models

Here's what was going on in the lobby. Thanks to all the helpers.

At the end of the day all of the models gave us parade with music. What fun!

Perfect way to end the day!!
