TR Pilgrimage

It was a beautiful day! The TR Pilgrimage was a day full of ceremony and history. We started out with a visit to the TR Bird Sanctuary where we petted turtles, saw raptors & found a geocache! Then there were ceremonies at Young's Cemetary & a hike to Sagamore Hill. There the ceremonies & presentations continued. All who went, had a great time!

Great Wolf Lodge

This trip is the greatest! If you missed it, make sure you save the date for next year!

Long Island Steamers

It was a fun day & the weather was surprisingly good. We rode the trains and everyone was a winner in the desert contest. Thanks to Hugh for putting it all together! See more pictures at www.pequott.org

Long Island Ducks Color Guard

No, that's not one of our Cubmasters in a duck costume, but Quackerjack welcomed our boys onto the field as a color guard for the national anthem.

Pack 590 is the 2008
Pack of the Year of Nassau County!!!

Thanks to all our leaders and families!

June 8th at the Nassau County American Legion's 90th annual convention, our Pack was awarded the high honor of being chosen as the Pack of the Year, over all the packs in Nassau County. This comes not from the work of any individual, but the combined efforts and enthusiasm of all our leaders & families! Thank you everyone!

Check out the Upcoming Activities Page! It's been updated with important info & dates!

American Legion Post #1066 is our Charter Organization!

We are very proud to have American Legion Post #1066 as the charter organization for Pack 590!

Thanks to them for helping to teach our boys pride in our flag & our country. We recently participated in a flag retirement ceremony at the post with many local politicians. Not to mention free hot dogs! Come visit the memorial garden at the post.

Fundraising
The Popcorn Sale is over! Congratulations to all our young salesmen and their families. This fundraiser helps our pack as well as our council. And the popcorn tastes good too! Big thanks go to our Popcorn Kernals, Mike Vitucci & Diane Stearns who keep it all organized very well. We had fun selling at Iavarone Bros, Ace Hardware and the PTA garage sale too.

A portion of each scouts' popcorn sales goes into an individual account for their use. Keep this in mind when you need to pay for trips. You can use that money to pay for any pack events including Science Museum, Ducks games, Riverhead Raceway or trips like that.

We also had a Bake Sale & raffles at the Pinewood Derby. Thanks for your support!
