November SEPTA Meeting Flyer
Hi, SEPTA members,
The weekend of November 11th, I will be travelling to Niagara Falls to the NYS PTA Convention.
I have the Resolutions as well as a Tally sheet that will need to be voted on available on our website
www.massapequasepta.com.
We will be voting at our SEPTA meeting this Wednesday, November 2nd and I will ask for a "Vote of Confidence" to carry SEPTA's overall vote to the Convention Floor.
In order to make the voting go faster, please read through the Resolutions so that you are familiar with them and you can ask any questions you may have.
For those that are not familiar, Resolutions are "Recommended" for Adoption, Retention, Update or to be Rescinded (then retired).
The following is what the terms mean:
Retention: A position which will be 7 years old at the next convention; the resolve(s) may be retained or rejected but not amended.
Update: A previously adopted resolution in which the wording of the original resolve was changed.
Recommended for Adoption: Proposed resolution complies with Basic Policy and is in accordance with PTA Purposes.
Referred to Committee: Proposed resolution requires more study and knowledge before a position can be recommended.
Not Recommended for Adoption: When a resolution is not being recommended for adoption.
I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday!
Thank You!
Allison Prystupa, President
