Since 1953...providing a safe place to play and grow
FROM THE PRESIDENT:

2009 REGISTRATION AND BASEBALL CLINIC

On Sunday, November 9th, we will be trying something completely
different. Come on out to our 2009 Registration and Baseball Clinic.

From 1-3pm, at Heatly School, we will be registering players for the 2009 season and
providing brief clinics in throwing, fielding, pitching and baserunning.

Thanks in advance to members of the RPI Basball team who will help run the clinics.
These players will be giving up their time to come and work with our players.

Also, a big thanks to "SOUTHPAW," mascot for the Tri-City ValleyCats. He will be
available for photos and as always...FUN!

We will be using the gym and (weather permitting) the school field. Bring along a glove...
if you don't have one, we will provide one to use.
HURRY!!! $30 EARLY REGISTRATION EXPIRES DEC. 31ST!!!
UPCOMING EVENTS:

- Mon. Dec. 29 & Tues. Dec. 30th (Times: TBA) CROSSGATES TAG DAYS!!

Be sure to check out the ANNOUNCEMENT PAGE to read more.

STAY IN TOUCH!!
Communication is very important. To keep the lines open, this website contains all
league information, including email and phone numbers. Please know that the Board
members are always willing to help.

But also remember that they are VOLUNTEERS with a life outside of the field. They give up
a great deal of time to keep this league running! I am indebted to them.

Any suggestions for the website or league? If they benefit the kids, they are more than
welcome. Feel free to call or email me. I am always happy to hear a great new idea!

As always remember, "It's not real life...it's only Little League."

Thanks,
Geoff

Green Island Little League
Green Island Little League (GILL) provides a supervised program under the Rules and Regulations of Little League Baseball, Incorporated.
We offer competitive recreational baseball programs to those youths that meet Little League Regulation IV eligibility requirements and residency
for the Senior, Junior, Major & Minor League Baseball; and Tee-Ball Divisions of Little League.

The objective of Green Island Little League is to implant firmly in the children of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty,
loyalty, courage and respect for authority, so that they may be well adjusted, stronger and happier children and will grow to be good, decent,
healthy and trustworthy citizens.

Little League Mission
Little League Baseball, Incorporated is a non-profit organization whose mission is to "to promote, develop, supervise, and voluntarily assist in all
lawful ways, the interest of those who will participate in Little League Baseball and Softball."

Through proper guidance and exemplary leadership, the Little League program assists youth in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline,
teamwork and physical well-being. By espousing the virtues of character, courage and loyalty, the Little League Baseball and Softball program
is designed to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes.

Founded in 1939; granted Federal Charter July 16, 1964, by unanimous act of the Senate and House of Representatives of the Congress of the
United States of America and signed by President Lyndon B. Johnson as Public Law 88-378, 88th Congress H.R. 9234, and amended December 26,
1974, Public Law 93-551, 93rd Congress, H.R. 8864. Little League is tax exempt.

Little League Pledge

I trust in God
I love my country
And will respect its laws
I will play fair
And strive to win
But win or lose
I will always do my best
