Interesting Stuff May we introduce our new Red Hat Society Mission Statement. (from EQM Sue Ellen Cooper via the Q2Q Broadcast)
Fun...to celebrate life at every age. And here is our promise to all of those who join us: "The Red Hat Society will open doors to a better tomorrow for women of all ages, adding Fun, Friendship, Freedom and Fulfillment to their lives. Each member can expect to be welcomed into our sisterhood and to be treated with dignity and respect. Together, we will extend the hand of friendship to women across the globe."
We shall wear red hats.... with big purple plumes and outrageous jewels. We shall share each others enthusiasm for where ever life takes us next, leaving behind the burdensome responsibilities of our youth. We'll replace sobriety with laughter and silly behavior, saying good-bye to hard work and hello to fun! We shall promise to make aging something to anticipate with excitement, not something to dread. Going for the gusto together, We shall be fun, playful, intelligent and sassy! (thank you!) I promised to type up what each of our bead/charms meant-- I copied what explanations you gave. Please let me know if there are any changes you would like me to make. Sun or Star Charm- Space.. The Final Frontier- I just love Star Trek and all things spacey, so either a sun or a star is what I brought to add to our Chapter’s bracelet. June- Queen Juneith Blue Charm with Silver Wire-
Turquoise Bead-I chose turquoise beads for the good luck they represent. Kathy L. - Duchess of Delight
Blue Bead- Mom told me to wear blue- it matched my eyes.Pat - Lady Cutie Pie Butterfly Charm-Butterflies see the beauty and joy around them.Jeanette- Lady Butterfly Green Flower Bead- A green flower bead to represent things that grow, like our friendships. Friendships, that as red & pink hatters, we nourish and cherish, so that they continue to grow and thrive.Maren- Princess Maren, Duchess of Dough Red Shiny Bead-I chose this bead because the ruby is my birthstone, & of course, red for the “Red Hatters”. Terry- Dame Mum Big Green Bead- May this green bead remind you of the Celtic Contessa and her Irish roots.Una- Celtic Contessa
Flower Charm- Flowers are a sign of spring… so when you’re alone on those wintery ‘Days’, look at your Flower and say, “Ahh, Spring’s not Far Away.” Madeline- Lady Muffin Turquoise Nugget- My favorite color. I love the sea & all natural stones and different things- thus turquoise.Avril- Lady Av Amethyst Twist Bead-To my Fellow Red Hatters, Please enjoy this Amethyst ‘Twist’ Glass Bead. The color reminds me of my June birthstone and the ‘twist’ represents my love for dancing. Joan- Dame Joanith Geometric Red Bead- Paula-Queen of ETE
