LADO
: Latino American Dawah Organization Latino American Dawah Organization's mission is:- To promote Islam among the Latino community of the United States.
- To unite the Latino Muslim community of the United States.
- To develop publications of interest to the Latino Muslim community of the United States.
- By providing assistance and guidance to anyone interested in Islam, primarily Latinos.
- By creating classes to teach the fundamentals of Islam, to teach the Muslim prayer, and to teach Arabic.
- By delivering speeches at mosques, high schools, colleges, prisons, churches, and at various organizations.
- By conducting interviews with the media.
- By writing editorials and articles in newspapers and magazines.
- By developing a newsletter to be posted on the LADO website.
- By providing Islamic books, pamphlets, and audio/videotapes in English, Spanish, and Portuguese through alliances with other Muslim organizations.
- By working with ISNA's Latino Coordinating Committee.
- By establishing a chat room for discussion with Latino Muslims to discuss upcoming events, to share ideas, and to discuss progress.
- By educating Latinos about the heritage and legacy of Islam in Spain and in the Americas.
- By promoting art and history of Latin America and Spain with art exhibits, literary fairs, and using other forms of media.
