About Us Our History Live Hope Foundation – LHF was founded in 2004 and registered as an indigenous NGO registration number S.5914/5376 under the NGO’s Registration Statute, 1989 of Uganda on 17th December 2004. LHF was birthed out of a desire to see the youth rise up and take responsibility for their actions in truth and in power. With the ever increasing number of HIV/AIDS and the various challenges facing the youth like unemployment, illiteracy, lack of social life skills, we took a bold step by combining need with urgency. Many youth in Uganda are unemployed, feeling helpless and depressed, and prone to negative activities such as crime and violence. Upon such a background, we saw a need to have their energies directed to constructive and positive attitudes and behaviour. We are at a critical turning point in our battle to save tens of millions of lives - often young lives. From the depth of our human compassion, and to the breadth of our ability, our actions against youth empowerment must be immediate, aggressive and sustained. LHF’s mandate constitutes establishing networks within Africa and the world at large that would provide an opportunity for young people to discuss and develop consensus on modalities of contribution to society at various levels and also to identify and promote areas and opportunities for multi-stakeholder partnerships for young people’s social and economic development. Our Vision Empowered Youth taking responsibility for their actions through total the transformation of lives in and outside Uganda. Mission Statement To be an effective, sustainable and reliable agent so as to save and empower youth through a well coordinated delivery of friendlier charitable services. Motto Harnessing optimism and potential through Education. |
